Listing Artwork

How does my work get uploaded?

You will have to mail us images of your work* along with the price, dimensions and medium. Once the agreement is signed, an Eikowa Relationship Manager will ensure the artworks are uploaded on the site. Once they are uploaded, a mail will be sent to you confirming the same.

*Please send a good resolution JPEG file of the artwork ONLY. Please do not send us pictures of a photo/ pictures with borders and captions in them.

Why isn’t my artwork uploaded?

There are 2 reasons for an artwork not getting uploaded on the portal:

  1. Normally it takes up to 24 hours before an artwork goes live on the platform. Please check the page after 24 hours, if the artwork is still not live, please call us on our helpline number – +91 9643700787 or write to us at support@eikowa.com

  2. This could be because of poor image quality of the artwork or other related reasons. In such cases our Relationship Manager will contact you. Please call us on our helpline number – +91 9643700787 or write to us at support@eikowa.com

What are “Reserved” artworks?

An artwork is reserved when the interested collector needs additional time to complete their purchase. An artwork can be reserved for up to 7 days, unless we’ve made an agreement between you (the artist) and the collector for the work to be reserved for a longer period of time.

While the artwork is being exclusively held for the collector, we ask that you DO NOT sell the work to another buyer. You must agree to hold this work for that collector for the entire reservation period.

Please note:

  1. A ‘reserved’ artwork has not yet been ‘sold’. A collector is interested in the work and has agreed to make a final decision within a specified timeframe.

  2. A reservation does not guarantee a sale.

When an artwork is reserved, a “Reserved” banner will appear across the corner of the artwork image on the site. You will also receive an automated email alert when your artwork has been reserved.

How do I provide a Certificate of Authenticity?

A Certificate of Authenticity is extremely important. The certificate needs to be provided by you stating that you created the artwork and you signature is a mark of authentication.

If you are a curator, please procure the certificate from the artist. You as a curator will have to guarantee the authenticity of the work.

What happens if the artwork sold by Eikowa is already sold by me to someone else?

While we do not object to artists listing artwork on multiple platforms, we request that you inform us of sold artworks, so that they can be removed from the platform.

Eikowa’s aim is to provide a seamless and professional experience to the customer. If we are not informed of the sale, it creates a bad experience for the customer. In case of blatant violations Eikowa will be forced to de-list the offending party from the platform.

What happens after the courier is picked up?

Once the courier is picked-up, the same will be delivered to the customer. The customer has 7 calendar days to confirm if the artwork was received in good condition.
