Amar Sultan Paintings - Artist Profile
Amar’s art is an ode to the bluebird of happiness lost in the world plagued with pigeons of displeasure. His paintings proffer a fresh breeze of air, in the monotonous and mechanical world. Born in 1977, Mussoorie the artist is self-trained under his father’s guidance.
Deeply inspired by pigeons, the symbols of love, peace and harmony, the artist tries to capture the flight of the bird on his expansive canvas. In the world full of car horns, loudspeakers and many other forms of noise pollution, the never ending fluttering and cooing of pigeons seem to be the only interaction left with the nature. Amar beautifully recreates this dying communication between humans and the birds in his paintings. One can almost feel the flutter of the bird’s wings, looking at the intricate details of Amar’s paintings. Bright colours, animated subjects, elegant brush strokes and bold textures complete his paintings, that represent the wide array of life.
Amar has received prestigious recognition in the realm of art for his astounding efforts. The artist has been a part of many solo and group shows, in the country, over the years.
