Born in 1982, Avinash Deshmukh received his felicitation from Uttamrao Patil Kala Mahavidyalaya, Patoda in 1999, G.D Art in Drawing and Painting from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune.
Full of vibrant tones, Avinash’s color palette is full of bright hues of red, blue, green, along with earth tones of green and yellow. His paintings revolve around love, care, passion, and power. Growing up in Maharashtra, the artist was deeply influenced by the gallant and royal history of the state. With his fluid brushwork and vivid colors, Avinash recreates the historic events of love, passion, and loss on his canvas. His unique color blocking technique might remind one of tile mosaic art
or paper collages, however, he uses a single medium; acrylic colors, to paint his detailed artwork.
Avinash also paints monochromatic paintings, with “caregiver” as his main subjects. This series is an alluring combination of varied tones of a single color such as red, green, blue, or yellow along with subtleties of black and white. This series explores various aspects of women, from taking care of her children and family and taking care of herself. One can see the subjects; women in varied roles, such as playing with their children, feeding them and teaching them, to engaging in nurturing herself, while playing different musical instruments, learning to play musical instruments, and praying to the Almighty. These paintings are extremely serene to look at and have a calming effect on the observers, similar to how taking care of babies, calm them down, or how praying to the Almighty and caring for oneself relieves one’s anxiety.
