Fawad Tamkanath is a Hyderabadi artist who is considered as one of the most exceptional Indian artists today. A gold medallist in both BFA at JNTU & MFA at the University of Hyderabad, Fawad has kept reinventing himself as an artist. His work has been showcased, collected and appreciated in the Western world as much as India.

Fawad’s work has never remained the same. He openly shares that he may paint a specific theme for five years, but then he switches to another one. At one point, he enjoyed painting in black and white, at another, he portrayed women as his subjects and yet at another time he is busy capturing the life of Hyderabad. As an artist, his favorite medium is acrylic though he has mastery over many others. Fawad explains that the inspiration to paint the way he does comes from observing everyday life. His canvas is realistic- as busy and as detailed as life itself.

He has been a part of many group and solo shows. In 2015 he completed his 100th International show with the Miami Art Show. He considers himself lucky that he was in the right place at the right time for his success at his work. Considering the amount of thought and finesse he puts into his work – he surely deserves it.
