Thoughts are interconnected and infinite. They cross and transcend each other. Each positive thought is a journey in itself and are carriers our existence. Kamar visualise himself within the infinite space and universe, created by his maker. We as beings are interconnected. He believes, one should hold onto the greatest and the purest of thoughts. These in turn initiates and influences our words and actions positively, giving out love, brotherhood, peace, and creating good Karma. The good Karma acts as your vehicle of enlightenment. It is symbolic of the boat/tree here in the work, which also stands as the connection to everything around us, and spirituality, wisdom, knowledge, strength & positivity. This helps him to flow and blossom within while he also spreads the seeds of love and goodness around. It is also nature's way of renewing and blossoming itself, again and again.
Mostly engaged in pointillism — a technique that involves painting using numerous dots in different colours — Kamar’s works are stylised figurative paintings that carry elements of nature along with human figures. Though Kamar has experimented in different mediums, he usually gravitates towards painting with oil colours. His painting are monochromatic with hints of contrasting hues. Big beautiful trees form and important part of his paintings.
Over the years, Kamar Alam has participated in numerous group and solo shows. He has showcased his works in various Indian and international museums and art galleries.
