Sachin Kharat Paintings - Artist Profile
Sachin Kharat graduated from the renowned J.J School of Arts, Mumbai. He also holds, multiple degrees in masters from various institutes that have influenced his art and mind in many different ways. Sachin is deeply moved and inspired by the beauty of women and his art revolves around the internal musings of these mesmerising beings.
Sachin’s paintings are windows to his subjects’ minds and souls. Based on the women with whom Sachin interacts everyday such as his mother, wife and sister, Sachin paints them with utmost simplicity, reflecting their true beauty and grounded nature. Oblivion to their external form, these women are introspecting, what goes within their minds, unknowingly reflects on their faces.
The artist blends this intense theme with the artistic themes such as portraying the women in a typical Indian setting, comparing them with Hindu mythology, ancient art. He then adorns them delicate jewellery, big hopeful eyes, delicate noses, ears and lips, thus creating a thought provoking a visual delight.
Just the like the women in his life, Sachin’s colours are rustic as if rooted to the ground, resonating the with the female form of nature; earth. He painstakingly draws details in these paintings. The sensually draped sarees and signature giant flowers in hair usually draw the onlooker’s attention, however, once they connect with the paintings, they understand paintings in true sense.
Sachin experiments with various mediums such as watercolours, oils, acrylics, pastels and even coloured pencils to add varying textures and polish his paintings in line with the sensitivity of his subjects and their thoughts. Bright hues and golden tones spread across his canvas, to add elegance and give a festive appeal to these paintings.
Sachin attempts to provide the world with a multi-sensual experience, revealing a perspective more than what our eyes can gather by looking at the painting or our hands by feeling it.
