Smita Srivastava dived into the enthralling world of art out of a passion for the subject. She is a self-taught abstract artist from Bengaluru. Smita started her journey by experimenting with various mediums, but over the years, she developed a signature style and now primarily engages with mixed media and oils.

Smita’s art comprises different layers of mixed media that create an interesting finish in the process. Her art seems to be a collage of various colours and textures. Her colour palette is subtle hues of pastel colours, that seem to soothe the onlooker’s eyes. Through her paintings, Smita finds the spaces where one can hold on and let go simultaneously, just like the flow of music.

She has exhibited her art in various group and solo shows, in major cities in India.
