Some are a gateway to the past, that take you down the memories, while others open up to a new future, hold a new adventure to the next chapter of your life. Santhana Krishnan has been fascinated by doors since his childhood, and throughout his lucrative career, he has focused on a single subject: doors. Finding them poetic, Krishnan loves to paint the old doors from his hometown Kumbakonam. Art observers might find the extraordinary details in his paintings illustrated by a vivacious colour palette rather enthralling which might compel them to pay a visit to their own childhood, full of colourful walls, posters, paintings just next to the door. What is the story behind a door?

The artist is known for his remarkable depictions of an array of doors, each signifying something new about itself.

Santhanan Krishnan has received his Masters in Fine Arts from the Madras University, Government College of Arts and Crafts (1998-2000) Chennai.

The artist’s remarkable works have bestowed him with the STATE AWARD given by TAMIL NADU OVIA NUNKALAI KIZHU & LALIT KALA ACADEMY IN CHENNAI, 2000 and APPRECIATION AWARD given by DIRECTORATE OF ART AND CULTURE.

His unique artistry has also received global recognition and were a part of many international exhibitions, recent one being “Indian Artist Show” at Visual Arts Centre, Hong Kong in 2015.

Shipping and Delivery

  • If you reside within India, you can expect to receive the artwork within seven (7) to ten (10) business days from time of order.
  • International Shipping 
  • If you reside outside India, you can expect to receive the artwork within eleven (11) to fourteen (14) business days from time of order, depending on the origin and destination of the artwork as well as the time it takes to clear customs.

 

Packaging
