Shrikant Kadam was born in 1973 in Maharashtra. He has graduated with a General Diploma (1995), B.F.A (2008) from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune. He has a Diploma in Art Education (1996) from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. He has won numerous awards and accolades, most notably the ‘Abhyudaya Sanman’ Kalavart Nyas in Ujjaini, Madhya Pradesh in 2003.
Shrikant is an abstract artist who portrays nature in his paintings. He wants to convey vibrations of the change that nature undergoes when seasons change. He is a trekker and the colors, sounds, vistas he observes are an inspiration for him. Shrikant’s energy is translated into his paintings, and the viewer can see vibrant hues which create ‘a drama’ on the canvas. Eye-catching and exciting to the senses, his work belongs to collections of art lovers. In each of his work, there is a ‘focal point’ or an energy point just like the sun rising which gives out energy. For Shrikant, he attempts to capture the same light of the rising sun as he loves the combination of energy, color, and vibration.
His work belongs to collections of Lalit Kala Akademi, Mr. Rashid Mir, N.C.P.A. Mumbai, Forbes Marshall Ltd., Pune, S.C.Z.C.C, Nagpur and in international collections based out of London, Paris, U.S.A., Istryal, Indonesia, Germany, Singapore, Bankok, India & abroad.
