Avinash Deshmukh is a contemporary Indian artist based out of Thane, Maharashtra. He completed his G.D. in Drawing and Painting from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya Pune. Avinash’s has received felicitation from Uttamrao Patil Kala Mahavidyalaya, Patoda (1999), Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune (2005 and 2006) and “Art Vision” 2nd Group Show Award, Mumbai (2014) for his brilliant art.
He has an avid passion for mosaics, and he bases them on Indian mythology, the depiction of Indian royalty in beautiful modern color sensibilities which arrest the attention of the viewer. Avinash’s paintings have details which are seen if the viewer spends some time with them. The color red often shows up on the foreheads of his subjects or in the background of his paintings. Avinash loves the harmony of life – most of his artwork depicts love or care or the act of playing music. These depictions point to Avinash’s passion for life and love. The element of Nature is never missing in his art but again shaded in the modern palette which adds to the story of the canvas.
Avinash has been a part of many art shows across India. His notable series are the ‘King and Queen,’ ‘Mellifluous’ and ‘Sindhi.’
