He received his GD in Art (painting) from Dalvi’s Art Institute, Kolhapur.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAmong the animal kingdom, the horse is the one who is strong, powerful and yet humble and innocent. Like many other artists, poets and writers, Devidas found his muse in steed. He paints these horses in contrasting colours; black and white, brown and cream, red and yellow, perhaps depicting the two sides of the horses, physical vigour and emotional humility. The only thing with real shape and form in the painting is the subjects; the horses. Everything else is abstract. His brushwork that resembles impasto techniques, illustrates the speed and movement one might relate with horses.
