Inspired by the tribal culture of \u003c\/span\u003e‘\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003egodana\u003c\/span\u003e’\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eor tattooing the body, she then adds intricate patterns to her subjects, comprising of floral vines and animal motifs. Her subjects, a beautiful amalgamation of women and animals —woman\u003c\/span\u003e’\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003es body with the head of an animal or visa versa— hold a stance as strong as their gaze into the onlookers\u003c\/span\u003e’\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eeyes\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThrough her paintings, Bandana explores the concept of human body made with the five elements; earth, fire, air, water and sky. Her paintings depict various forms of lives such as birds, animals, flowers and celestial objects, however, women portray as the strongest creations of God. Often holding their heads high, as a fierce lion, her subjects are adorned in delicate and elegant clothes, shoes and jewellery, displaying either sides — beauty and rigour — of women.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eOver the years, Bandana has exhibited her works at many national and international art galleries and shows including the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery, Bodh Gaya Biennale Gaya Bihar, Art Penza Gallery Russia, and has been awarded Lalit Kala Academy in Lucknow (2016-17), Bihar State Award (2015), Fine Art Society Patna (2010, 09, 08) and Sanskar Bharti Patna (2007).
