What is Blockchain Certification?
As pioneers in ArtTech, Eikowa is bringing a pioneering solution for authenticity and provenance.
We are leveraging blockchain to ensure that every art bought from Eikowa can never be forged such that it remains truly unique, just like when you bought it. We do this by having a clear link between a digital certificate that cannot be copied and linking this to your physical art.
While we are the first gallery in India to launch this, and our solution is unique internationally, we think as the world begins to realize real-utility use cases of blockchain, our solution will become the golden standard for provenance and authenticity.
How does this work?
Each work purchased from Eikowa will have two accompaniments:
A) A non-replicable digital certificate registered on Bitcoin blockchain (the blockchain powering Bitcoin, the most established cryptocurrency)
B) A temper-evident tag that contains this digital certificate and is tagged to the physical art work.
What are the benefits?
Together these two components ensure that the physical art is linked to a digital certificate. Key benefits for establishing this link are:
A) Neither the physical artwork nor the certification for it can be forged.
B) Anyone can verify the authenticity of the artwork.
