Nagesh Ghodke obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Drawing and Painting from the L.S. Raheja School of Art, Mumbai, in 2008. Born in 1984 and raised in rural Maharashtra, his artistic vision is deeply rooted in the landscapes, architecture, and everyday life of Indian villages. His formative years in the countryside continue to inspire his work, allowing him to create evocative compositions that celebrate the beauty of rural India while subtly reflecting on the changing relationship between people and nature.

Nagesh Ghodke's paintings are instantly recognizable for their vibrant, abstracted villagescapes. Layers of colourful homes, winding streets, and clustered architectural forms come together to create rhythmic compositions that are both nostalgic and contemporary. Using a striking palette of reds, blues, greens, and earthy tones, he transforms familiar rural settings into dynamic visual narratives. His paintings balance abstraction with representation, capturing not just the physical landscape but also the warmth, simplicity, and spirit of village life. Through his distinctive treatment of colour and form, Ghodke invites viewers to rediscover the enduring charm of India's rural heritage while reflecting on its gradual transformation.

His preferred medium is acrylic on canvas, which allows him to build richly textured surfaces and luminous layers of colour. Nagesh Ghodke has presented several solo exhibitions, including shows at Jehangir Art Gallery, Pradarshak Art Gallery, and the India Art Festival, Mumbai, while participating extensively in prestigious group exhibitions and national art shows across India. He is the recipient of multiple honours, including awards from the Bombay Art Society and L.S. Raheja School of Art, and has participated in exhibitions organised by the Lalit Kala Akademi, Camlin Art Foundation, and the Art Society of India. His works are part of numerous private and corporate collections in India and abroad.
